Membership information

Our arms are open to anyone making application to join us in our sport/hobby. Whether you are a seasoned pilot or interested in learning, make the move to join us in our club. We hold a business meeting every other month (beginning in January). Because we are sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics all members of our club must be current members in good standing with the AMA. To learn more click here:   www.modelaircraft.org/

Please follow the steps below to make application to our club.

  1. Contact the club secretary and inform him/her of your intentions to join. He/she can provide you with contact information to members who are willing to meet you at the field for flying sessions. 

 2. Click the buttons below to print the Membership Application as well as the Member Sign Off Sheet. 

Fill in the required information.

2a. Go to the Academy of Aeronautics website at the link above to enroll as an AMA member by paying their dues.

   3. Ask a few Congaree Flyers club members to witness your flights at our field (buddy box flying counts too) and get them to sign the Member Sign Off Sheet. Depending on your current skill level you may be required to pass a basic flight test administered by our club safety officer.
4. Submit the completed forms to the secretary along with your dues payment and proof of AMA membership.  Easy peasy!
   Please note that club dues are $100/yr. and folks 70 and up pay $50 or any amount up to $100 if they would like to contribute more to our grass cut expenses.
